fireflies

This piece is over all gorgeous and is well deserving of any and all the favorites it receives! The character is very well drawn and the clothes/folds in the clothes are BRILLIANT. "A+" on that aspect!! Also the shading of the character it's self it well done and beautiful!However a few things to help you out for next time. And these things are not ment to be mean, I will say that now, because you are one of my favorite artists here so bear that in mind. First thing I'd like to say is, you really aught to take some time and play around with your line art. While your drawings look brilliant, it would help define them better if there was SOME kind of line art. Now obviously this will be a personal preference thing, but line are does not have to be solid black thick lines. You can use varying dark shades of the characters fur to outline it. Just a thought.
Secondly, while the fireflies are adorable, you may want to try to make their wings a slightly darker/lighter shade of their body color so the wings won't look so out of place. I still adore them though seems as they are awfully cute and the color you choose for the glow is excellent!
Now we come to the background. While the subject of the painting (the fireflies and the griffin) look fantastic, the background looks ... "half-assed". Does that mean it's awful?NO, however, compared to the character and other backgrounds you have done, this one seems very quickly splashed onto the paper when I myself and anyone else who sees your work knows you can do so much better!
Overall though this piece is absolutely wonderful addition to your gallery and a favorite of my own! Your style id surely flourishing and reminds me (in the best of ways) of my all time favorite artist Griffsnuff! So keep up the spectacular work!
